Stripped Down Lovers right? Well at a glance, that title actually might put some folks off as it sounds somewhat like another p**n site. I actually thought long and hard about registering that domain but after a while, I said to myself; why the heck not.

My feelings to stick with that name were intensified by the band Loverswhen I heard one of their songs Boxer”. It’s a fitting testament to my point.

This is not the first time I have done something offensive to someone (unintentionally though) nor will it be the last so why the heck not. I don’t mean to offend anyone but Stripped Down Lovers kind of gets the point of what I want to say across.

So once again, this is no p**n site and I honestly don’t expect everyone to understand why I chose to stick with that kind of title unless they really spend time on the site at least. But for some, it will catch their attention.

Relationships between people and amongst people; lovers, siblings or heck people of the same sex (I don’t really care) these are more like a duty; a drag if I may say so than a gift to be cherished and enjoyed by all involved. Divorce rates going through the roof, families broken up (marriage being a choice), and people doing unspeakable things to each other while confessing love.

So I start to wonder; how well one ought to know there lover or partner before they get too seriously involved with him or her. A lot if you ask me. It’s not just striping literally but also emotionally, spiritually and mentally. Bearing it all to the one person you can’t live without.

You need to connect with your spouse on those 3 levels at least to have a chance of sticking with it whenever the sh*t hits the fan because like it or not, those terrifying moments will come; except if you want to go live under some rock and not engage with life.

I know sh*t happens in life and in relationships. When that occurs, what do you do? How strong is your love for your partner?

There is no doubt that there are wonderful stories out there of the human capacity to love and hope again after a particularly emotional and spiritual draining negative incident.

In relationships, feelings and emotions change, but I believe that the chances of that happening is slim if both couples are a lot more open to each other, leaving no secrets tucked away in some remote corner of their hearts.

When you hit a bump in the road of your relationship, when it seems like your life has come to a screeching halt; it’s the memories you made with your partner or your lover that might be the glue that keeps both of you together or help bring you both back together again.

But this can only be achieved by openly talking, asking questions for couples that are meant to bring out the best and the worst in each of you and getting to know each other on a more deeper level and having fun while doing it.
